Are you a passionate and talented Frontend Developer seeking an engaging and dynamic role? We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our team and work remotely, with the possibility of occasional on-site visits within the next month. Responsibilities
Web Design and Programming (75% of the role)
Utilize modern web programming languages, frameworks, databases, and content management systems to develop complex web-based solutions that meet project requirements.
Follow industry best practices, including maintaining code in version control, tracking issues through a ticketing system, and estimating time for tasks of all sizes.
Implement frontend development using Object-Oriented JavaScript, popular libraries and frameworks (such as Node, Express, React, Bootstrap, jQuery), HTML5, and CSS3.
Bring design and layout requirements to life using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, CMS, and other layout tools.
Ensure adherence to HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards by utilizing validation tools.
Leverage graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to develop visually appealing styles, wireframes, design concepts, and other graphic elements that enhance the overall user experience.
Consultation and Technical Support (15% of the role)
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and project scope, assuming the role of a project lead and technical subject matter expert.
Provide accurate time estimates for tasks of varying sizes and effectively track allocated resources.
Offer in-person, email, and telephone support to assist users, providing user documentation and training when necessary.
Foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout.
Act as a secondary technical support resource for hardware, operating system, and application-related issues on Windows and Linux servers hosting web applications.
Diagnose and resolve application, operational, hardware, or operating system problems by coordinating solutions with vendors and relevant team members.
Develop and maintain programs, scripts, and procedures for automating system administration tasks.
Security (10% of the role)
Conduct security evaluations for a diverse range of web applications and collaborate with clients to address their security needs in alignment with campus policies.
Provide detailed security reports to content owners and actively collaborate on implementing solutions that mitigate and eliminate vulnerabilities.
Facilitate integration of CAS and Shibboleth authentication tools.
