Role- Murex Developer
Location- Toronto, ON ( Onsite day 1)

Job description:
The role sits within the global BOR development team with multiple instances of Murex hosting FXC, FXO, and GPM (Global precious metals) and is for an MX developer to work on solutions within the MX environment. The company has a roadmap to consolidate their Murex instances over the next few years, as part of this strategy, there will be several ongoing initiatives, involving the migrations of functionality and data from Mx2.11 to Mx3.1. including; back office, front office, VaR, pricing, risk, batch etc. The developer should be able to undertake enhancements across wide range of the project, regulatory and run-the-bank change initiatives covering a diverse change portfolio which is centred around Murex.
Key responsibilities:
· Understanding requirements and translating into Murex MX.3 technical solutions
· Designing solutions in line with all relevant technical standards and with an emphasis on long-term supportability
· Involvement in software development around Murex MX.2 & 3 and other associated interfaces
· Unit testing and preparation of software releases for deployment into production
· Working closely with Business Analysts, Architects and existing system IT representatives, gathering their input and collaborating to reach optimum results
· Working closely with Test Analysts to construct relevant tests per functional requirement
· Liaising with the vendor (Murex) to ensure compatibility of integration designs with internal system configuration
· Working according to the agile framework in place for the project team
General:
· Must have working experience with Murex development including integration, migration or upgrade experience
· Understanding of derivatives, risk & pnl
· Demonstrable experience of working across the full SDLC
· Solid Core Murex Module & Features knowledge in order to configure the system, be able to troubleshoot any issues linked to core activities and support end-users:
· Strong skills in UNIX and SQL including scripting
Murex knowledge:
· Workflows: Pre and post trade workflow development, including workflow design, transformation, interface, pre trade sequence (XSLT, MSL)
· Trade lifecycle: Thorough understanding of the Murex trade lifecycle and mxpress workflow phases (contract, event, deliverables etc)
· FO: Curve set up, Simulation, e-tradepad, FO configuration, Trade pricing/P&L/risk, VaR
· EoD: Very good working knowledge of the Murex data model and familiarity with constructing queries to manipulate data in the database, batch analysis and optimisation and reporting, Murex FINDB, Datamart configuration
· Murex technical architecture: performance monitoring services, memory allocation, logging, troubleshooting environmental issues
