Principal JavaScript Developer, £75-85k, 4 days remote, Global tracking solutions, new features. Principal JavaScript Developer (React & Vanilla) Fareham, Hampshire. 1 day per week in office. £75000 - £85000 Please note my client cannot offer sponsorship for this role. Your new company I am engaged on a project to recruit a Principal JavaScript Developer to work on the development of Internet of Things products which support various sectors, some of which genuinely have an impact on the preservation of lives. This role is hybrid, 1 day per week in their Hampshire offices. The team also get together for 3 days per month back to back with hotels, meals, socials all paid for which is an excellent opportunity to bond as a team and retain their culture. Your new role Here you'll be working on really unique projects and technologies. They develop and manufacture Software/Hardware/Firmware all under one roof and you'll be leading the UI effort, building out the frontage to all their products and services. You'll be joining a Dev team of 7, with 15 in technology and 100 in the wider group. It' the right size company where you can have a genuine impact on their success, whilst still having solid progression opportunities and a chance to move up the ladder. There is a busy 18-month roadmap here and the internal culture is excellent, you'll work on serious projects that make a difference, but have fun with it and there's a real positive feel to the team. The company was acquired in recent years and the bespoke work the Dev team produces was central to this decision. What you'll need to succeed You should be well-versed in modern JavaScript (React, Tailwind) and will have core Vanilla JS skills to build serious applications that stand the test of time. The role is 90% hands-on technical, with 10% representing management/leadership responsibilities. As a Principal you'll have 7+ years of experience and a real coverage of Design and Development, including superb debugging and problem solving skills. Given our company is in the small to medium category, we feel a Developer coming from a similar background and that has worked independently at times would suit well.
