Backed by some of the best venture capital investors in the world, including Tiger Global, Golden Ventures, and Susa Ventures, we’re looking for pioneers to help us achieve our vision.RequirementsAbout the Senior Front End Developer roleWe’re looking for an experienced and unflappable Senior Front End Developer to own our React and Typescript based front end codebase. You’ll mentor other front end developers and provide tools and patterns for the entire team to use.Float’s a product-led business, and as our Senior Front End Developer, you’ll be relied upon for your deep knowledge and experience in front end development practices as well as help make our react codebase productive to work in for the rest of the team.As the Senior Front End Developer at Float:
- You’ll get to own and oversee the front end codebase of a very quickly growing company and will be able to put your mark on a large part of Float
- You’ll get to work with and learn from an outstanding team of bright, passionate and talented developers
- You’ll help enable our team of developers to be even more productive by writing high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
- You’ll turn wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and build high-quality UI components with scalability in mind
- You’ll work with full stack & back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
- You’ll gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
- You have exceptional ability. This comes first, we’re looking for developers with exceptional ability, regardless if you have any of the other points listed below!
- You’ve got the experience. We’re looking for 5+ years of B2B SaaS front end development experience, working in a fast growing and dynamic company.
- You’re motivated by shipping code. You love the craft of shipping software and take pride in the outcome. You have a track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale. You take ownership over your work and are always striving to further master your craft.
- You’ve got experience with our tech stack. Typescript/React, front end patterns, Python/Django, Go, AWS (or, are willing to learn!)
- You’re eager to continue your own learning. Scrappy and voracious, you want to know the ‘why’ behind every answer. You love to have healthy debates with fellow developers and colleagues about the product.
- You believe the customer comes first. You’ll advocate endlessly for our customers, and have a natural curiosity to understand their needs.
- You don’t like to work asynchronously or in a remote environment
- You aren’t a self-starter and don’t like to work independently
- You aren’t obsessed with your craft
- You don’t like change and adapting to new ways of doing things
- You want a very organized and predictable day to day
- You aren’t comfortable with ambiguity
- You want detailed to-dos for your tasks and projects
- You don’t like regular feedback on your work
- You aren’t super passionate about helping Float build the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada
