Sr. Manager Software Development Engineering wanted by Egencia LLC in Bellevue, WA. Lead an engineering team that will build, operate, and maintain Open API Platform in order to meet business needs. Hiring, mentoring, and retaining a best-of-class engineering team; Fostering career growth and a strong team culture; Ensuring personnel have appropriate skills and behaviors; and effectively communicating performance results; Proposing and implementing new projects or recommending system improvements; Innovating for our Customers by taking a long-term perspective to build systems and features; Creating and driving long-term development and business technology strategies; Keeping track of response time of inquiry requests for services utilizing platform metrics; Managing each project to ensure that it remains within the approved manpower and budget guidelines; Performing quality inspections and walkthroughs, architecture review, design review, code review and security review to ensure compliance with standards; Collaborating with product managers, architects, and program partners to build and deploy world-class software; Working in tandem with architects and other software developers to design robust solutions; Interfacing and connecting standards (API’s/SDKs) so external partners can connect to our services; Overseeing operational aspects such as performance tuning, monitoring, and fault-tolerance; Leading software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations; Prototyping creative solutions quickly and taking a project from prototype to production quality; and Demonstrating leadership in mentoring, establishing standards in documentation and clean code, and setting a professional example for the team.Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus five (5) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Must also have five (5) years of experience performing Quality Inspections and Walkthroughs, Architecture Review, Design Review, Code Review and Security Review to ensure compliance with standards; five (5) years of experience collaborating with product managers, architects, and program partners to build and deploy world-class software; five (5) years of experience working in tandem with architects and other software developers to design robust solutions; five (5) years of experience delivering APIs, SDKs, documentation, and platform capabilities that are consumable by external customers and five (5) years of experience with professional software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Requires 5% domestic travel and 5% international travel. May also work from home within commuting distance from office.
