At New Relic, we help customers understand, optimize, troubleshoot and improve their sophisticated software systems, including AI, machine learning, and large language models.

We're looking for a UI engineer who can help New Relic provide the next generation of modern observability tools for AI powered applications.

What you'll do

  • Write high-quality, functional TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Build intuitive UIs that help customers connect prompts to response quality, analyze drift in their models, and understand how agents select large language models to provide a full-stack picture of their AI performance.
  • Participate in the design process, offering technical feedback and suggestions to the creative team, and helping us improve the process along the way.
  • Contribute innovative UI solutions back to the New Relic platform.

This role requires

  • 4+ years of developing front-end code for web application development.
  • 2+ years experience with the React framework.
  • Proven understanding of modern TypeScript and React.
  • Experience with breaking down product requirements into architecture design and implementation.
  • A deep understanding of methodologies and design patterns for JavaScript, HTML5, complex CSS and responsive design.
  • Experience working in large JavaScript codebases and knowledge of how to keep the code modular and loosely coupled.

Bonus points if you have

  • Understand ML and LLM tools and technologies like OpenAI, Langchain, LLMs, and how agents interact with them.
  • Experience with GraphQL.

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 140,000 - $ 175,000

The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan and a competitive equity package. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
